Blog Post: SoBigData TransNational Access (TNA) 2019

Thanks to the SoBigData european platform, I obtained a support for a visiting to one of the partner of the project.

I spent 2 weeks, from Januray 7 to January 18, 2019 at the CNR in Pisa, hosted by the KDD Lab, in particular in close cooperation with Giulio Rossetti.

Thanks to this support, we were able to start and pursue several joint works:

  • We designed, run experiment and wrote a first version of an article to compare empirically dynamic community disovery algorithms, through a custom benchmark (see picture below)
  • We worked on a first version of a library for community detection, CDlib
  • We started to set up a special issue on dynamic network for the OSNEM journal
  • We worked on a book chapter on challenges in dynamic community detection that was proposed for a book on theoretical aspects of dynamic networks, to be published in 2019.
