Blog Post: SoBigData TransNational Access (TNA) 2024

Thanks to the Sobigdata research infrastructure european platform, I obtained a support for a visiting to one of the partner of the project.

I spent 3 weeks, from April 2 to April 19, 2024 at the CNR in Pisa, hosted by the KDD Lab, in particular in close cooperation with Giulio Rossetti and Salvatore Citraro.

Thanks to this support, we were able to work on a new collaboration project, around community detection evaluation. We expect three main outcomes from this collaboration:

  • A scientific article, taking the form of an experimental comparative analysis on different scenarios
  • An online leaderboard, in order for researchers to easily access all the details of the experiments and to find the best method for their network according to their properties
  • A software package, to be released as open-source, so that researchers can compare the performances of a method they have developed with existing ones
We plan to publish the results of these works in the coming months.
